By car
Take the Autobahn A5, exit Karlsruhe-Nord (43). Follow B 10/Karlsruher Straße towards Pforzheim and through the „Grötzinger Tunnel“.
About 650 m behind the tunnel – you can spot a gas station on the right – turn left into Weiherstraße.
After 350 m stay straight on Weiherstraße following the signs to Fraunhofer ICT .
After 400 m turn left into Hummelbergstraße. Cross the railroad tracks and follow Joseph-von-Fraunhofer-Straße about 750 m uphill to Fraunhofer ICT.
The southern part of Joseph-von-Fraunhofer-Straße ends shortly before the railroad tracks in a dead end. In does not lead to Fraunhofer ICT.
By train:
The nearest public transport station is called Pfinztal-Berghausen Hummelberg. It is served by S4 trains between Eppingen/Bretten and Karlsruhe-Durlach/-Bahnhofsvorplatz/-Albtalbahnhof, on workdays in a 30-minute-pattern. From the station, it is a 750 meter walk uphill to Fraunhofer ICT.
It takes 7 minutes to/from Karlsruhe-Durlach and 25 minutes to/from Karlsruhe-Bahnhofsvorplatz.
So-called "Eilzüge" (fast trains) do not stop at Hummelberg. In other trains, the stop must be requested by pressing the door-button before entering the station.
By taxi:
The ride from Karlsruhe Hauptbahnhof is about 11 km long and takes about 20 minutes. It costs about 45 Euros.
By plane:
Nearest airports are Baden-Airpark Karlsruhe (50 km, only regional flights), Stuttgart airport (80 km), Straßburg/France (110 km) and Rhein-Main-Airport in Frankfurt/Main (130 km).
